ESPN will provide coverage of Real Madrid vs Barcelona (on Wednesday, January 18, 2012) and Barcelona vs Real Madrid (on Wednesday, January 25, 2012) on various platforms.
For Spanish speakers, the live broadcast of El Clasico – which will start at 3:00pm EST on January 18 and on January 25 – will be done in Spanish language on ESPN3.com, on ESPN Deportes and on ESPN Deportes Radio.
El Clasico coverage on ESPN Deportes will start with pre-game discussions via Futbol Center (at 2:00pm EST) and Fuera de Juego (at 3:00pm EST). Martin Ainstein will be teaming up with Jorge Ramos and Tato Noriega to cover the action live from the Santiago Bernabeu. Ainstein will work with Fernando Palomo and Mario Kempes during the second leg to be played at the Camp Nou.

To begin their broadcasting of 115 live 2011/12 La Liga matches, ESPN Deportes will broadcast 3 games on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Sporting vs Real Zaragoza will kick-off the action on ESPN Deportes at 7:45am PST, 11:55am EST and 3:55pm GMT.
At the same time on August 28, Real Mallorca vs Espanyol will be covered live. Ultimately, Barcelona vs Villarreal will rock the stage at 11:55am PST, 2:55pm EST and 6:55pm GMT. All these 3 matches will also be broadcasted on ESPN Deportes Radio and on ESPN3.com.
The English Premier League returns on ESPN this weekend with Fulham vs Aston Villa airing live at 9:30am EST, on Saturday, August 13.

ESPN Deportes’ live coverage of El Clasico, La Liga’s most anticipated match between Real Madrid and Barcelona, was the highest-rated telecast on Spanish-language cable television amongst Hispanic men 18+ so far this year.
The game, played Saturday, April 16, from Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid, delivered an average of over 524,000 Hispanic male viewers 18+. Its impressive 9.4 Hispanic household coverage rating represents an average of 483,000 Hispanic Households. The match is the second-most-watched telecast ever on ESPN Deportes, behind the Nov 2009 Clasico which delivered 512,000 Hispanic household impressions).

ESPN has named Adrian Healey, a play-by-play commentator from the network’s critically acclaimed 2010 FIFA World Cup team, as its primary voice for Major League Soccer telecasts beginning this season. Healey will pair with former U.S. Men’s National Team captain and ESPN 2010 FIFA World Cup match analyst John Harkes in the booth.
Healey will make his debut in the 2011 Major League Soccer season-opener – Los Angeles Galaxy at Seattle Sounders FC – Tuesday, March 15, at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN, ESPN3.com and ESPN Mobile TV.
Healey joined ESPN in 2003 as a play-by-play commentator for ESPN International’s coverage of several European leagues, including UEFA Champions League. He also hosts ESPN Soccernet Press Pass, the popular soccer opinion and debate program aired on ESPN International’s English-language networks around the world, and seen online at ESPN.com/soccer.
In all, ESPN networks will combine to televise 26 regular season matches, the MLS All-Star Game, three playoff matches, and the 2010 MLS Cup. ESPN Mobile TV, ESPN's 24/7 mobile sports television network, will provide live coverage of select MLS matches during the season.
ESPN coverage of Major League Soccer’s 15th season will begin Thursday, March 25 at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2, ESPN360.com, ESPN Deportes, and ESPN Deportes Radio with a live telecast of the Philadelphia Union at Seattle Sounders FC from Qwest Field in Seattle, Wash. The ESPN MLS Game of the Week will be the inaugural MLS match for Philadelphia as it faces the breakout expansion franchise from a year ago that opened the 2009 season on ESPN. The Union-Sounders FC match will be part of MLS First Kick presented by Dick’s Sporting Goods, a series of eight season-opening weekend matches March 25-27.

As part of ESPN’s multilanguage coverage for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa in the U.S., ESPN Deportes, the all-sports Spanish-language network, will provide Portuguese-language telecasts of more than 40 live matches of the World Cup. The telecasts will complement the network’s comprehensive Spanish-language news and information coverage of the quadrennial sports event (June 11 – July 11, 2010). ESPN, Inc. owns the rights for all FIFA events in all languages, except Spanish in the U.S. through 2014.
ESPN’s English-language coverage presented live and in high definition, will be featured on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN360.com. Univision has the exclusive Spanish-language rights to 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa.
