The final carries the fierce United States-Mexico rivalry to the club arena by pitting Major League Soccer’s Real Salt Lake against Monterrey, of Mexico’s First Division. The pair meet for the first leg of the home and away series at Monterrey’s Estadio Technologico April 20, then to Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah for the second and final game April 27.

CONCACAF Champions League Preview: Apr 5-6

CONCACAF Champions League action is nearing the finish line, with two semifinal second legs.
In Costa Rica, Real Salt Lake will attempt to become the first MLS team to reach the CONCACAF Champions League final by beating Saprissa or maintaining the first leg lead obtained back in Utah. Alvaro Saborio's club will be keen to keep Saprissa's dangerous strikers off the board in order to cement the berth.

Meanwhile, Cruz Azul and Monterrey will lock up for a second time in three weeks in order to determine which one of the two Mexican league heavyweights represents the country in the continental final. CONCACAF Champions League Preview: Feb 22-24

A fantastic round of quarterfinals action brings us back from a two-month layoff.
The Concacaf Champions League kicks off 2011 with four quarterfinal ties that feature three pairings from the same country. Columbus and Real Salt Lake will see one American team go through to the semis, while Toluca, Monterrey, Cruz Azul and Santos face each other in two groupings.
