The Spaniard is convinced that the Giallorossi will rack up another three points at home against a struggling Genoa outfit.

Luis Enrique, the coach of AS Roma, is confident that his side will obtain maximum points when they welcome Genoa to the Stadio Olimpico on Monday.
Roma, who have won their last four games against Genoa in the Italian capital, have been rather inconsistent this season, and Enrique will be hoping that his team correct the situation.
"I don't know what sort of game it will be on Monday evening. We've been inconsistent recently. The reason for our performances always depends on the opponents and the form of our team," Enrique explained to Roma's official website.
Luis Enrique’s inconsistent Roma outfit will be looking to rebound from their devastating defeat to Siena when they welcome an in-form Parma to the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

Roma coach Luis Enrique will be forced into making a number of changes to his side, particularly in a defensive sense, as while Simon Kjaer will miss the match through suspension, Brazilian defender Juan is unlikely to recover in time to make the eleven. A further blow is the fact that former Inter Milan defender Nicolas Burdisso faces...
The out of form duo of Roma and Inter Milan will be desperate to return to winning ways when they lock horns in a clash that could go either way.

Both teams will be hoping to put an end to a negative patch with a boosting result in what is expected to be an intriguing encounter at Rome's Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
After struggling to find their respective identities in recent outings, Roma and Inter alike will be looking to return to winning ways, as anything less than the three points could put an end to the title aspirations of either side.
Inter, who fought out a thrilling 4-4 draw with Palermo at the San Siro on Wednesday, have lost the plot in recent outings because prior to their 1-0 defeat away to lowly Lecce last Sunday they had won an impressive seven games on the trot.
Much is at stake at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday. But here are five reasons why Inter will return to Milan with the three points.

Inter Milan will be hoping to shrug off a series of poor results when they travel to the Stadio Olimpico to do battle with Roma on Sunday. The Nerazzurri come into the match with the desperation to claim maximum points, as if they fail to manage this their title aspirations could break into pieces.
Here are five reasons why Inter will beat Roma in ascending order.
5. Inter unbeaten against Roma in 2011.
Roma may hold a historical advantage over Inter at the Stadio Olimpico, however, 2011 was Inter's year, as they were unbeaten in all four games between the sides irrespective of the venue. With two wins and two draws and a favourable 7-4 goal difference the Nerazzurri were thoroughly superior when compared to their rivals.
AS Roma suffer their first league defeat in eight games against a dominant Cagliari at the Stadio Sant'Elia on Wednesday.

The Giallorossi were on the wrong end of a devastating 4-2 defeat to Cagliari in an action-packed encounter at the Stadio Sant'Elia on Wednesday.
Brazilian attacker Thiago Ribeiro put Cagliari ahead in the 7th minute when he met a Daniele Conti pass, before cutting in and firing the ball past Roma goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg.
But their lead was short-lived, as six minutes later another Brazilian, Juan, connected to a Francesco Totti corner-kick with a bullet header to draw the visitors level.
AS Roma will aim to join the chasing pack when they travel to Sardinia to take on Cagliari as they intend to mount their Champions League bid.

Following four wins from their last five league games, the Giallorossi have everything to play for when they visit Cagliari at the Stadio Sant'Elia on Wednesday.
Sixth-placed Roma may find themselves thirteen points from the summit, but the fact that they have a game in hand means that if they continue with their progression they could be rewarded with a place in next season's Champions League, not to mention with the Scudetto.
The later may seem rather far-fetched, but by no means is it impossible, as despite last week's 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Juventus in the Coppa Italia, Roma have been surprisingly effective in 2012.
Finally, after long speculations over Bojan Krkić’s future at Barcelona, it has been confirmed that the Catalans and Italian giants AS Roma have reached an agreement for the striker’s transfer.

According to the official website of the UEFA Champions League title holders, Roma will be paying 12 million euros for the Spanish player. The deal includes a mandatory repurchase clause to be exerted by Barcelona at the end of the 2012/2013 for 13 million euros.
Bojan is expected to appear at the Ricard Maxenchs pressroom at the Camp Nou later today to give out his thoughts upon his current situation.
The No.9 starlet of partly Serbian descent joined Barca at the age of 17 back in September 2007, making his debut against Osasuna and becoming the youngest member of Los Cules to feature in a Spanish Primera Division encounter.
Milan need only a point against Roma at the Olimpico to win their eighteenth and Massimiliano Allegri's first Scudetto.

The month of May that stretches before Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri must exhilarate even him. In the last nine months, Allegri has negotiated the onerous pressure of a new high-profile job, player egos, and, perhaps his signal achievement, a two-point gap going into a late-season Milan derby with equanimity that would edify even Jose Mourinho.
Now, with Allegri's first and Milan's eighteenth Scudetto imminent, and a Coppa Italia final berth eminently achievable, Allegri is perhaps finally feeling the magnitude of what he has managed in his first season with a 'big' club. Only a point and an unpredictable Roma lie between Milan and their first Scudetto in seven years. For Allegri to inherit a brand new team that was stirring to take shape for most of the fall and still manage to lead the Serie A since November is proof that the 'coach of the year' accolades he earned for his work with Cagliari last year and the year before were genuinely deserved.

Having not played in the Champions League’s quarterfinals since the 2003/04 season, Los Blancos will need to make the most of the Real Madrid vs Tottenham first-leg clash on Tuesday evening.
UEFA Champions League: Real Madrid’s Long Journey In The ‘Wasteland’
Several years have passed since the Spanish powerhouse last had to play for the Champions League’s quarterfinals. Probably, questions related to this bizarre fact lie over the mystery of how they kept crushing out of the competition repeatedly at the same stage. Below, we take a brief look at all the campaigns of Los Merengues in Europe, from September 2003 to their disqualification last season.
UEFA Champions League 2003/04 season: Crushed in the quarterfinals
Seven seasons ago, Real Madrid began their European campaign in Group F; a group containing the likes of FC Porto, Marseille, and Partizan. The Spanish giants convincingly topped their group with 14 points after six games played—three points ahead of the Portuguese giants. Los Blancos then faced Bayern Munich in the ensuing stage of the competition, only to crush the Germans 2-1 on aggregate. Their run however came to an end in the quarterfinals, subsequent to a defeat on away goals to French side AS Monaco. Mysteriously, it was their last year in the Last 8.
Coach Leonardo has interestingly downplayed the importance of Saturday’s AC Milan vs Inter derby whereas everyone around him portrays it as the Scudetto’s decider. Live Soccer TV tackles this topic.

It is true that nothing is over until it is over and that points get counted at the end of the road in football. However, mathematical possibilities don’t always defeat realism. If Inter fall 5 points behind AC Milan on Saturday with a defeat, it won’t mathematically rule out Leonardo’s team as potential title winners since there will then be 7 more matches to go.
However, football fans will expect AC Milan to keep matters in their own hands at the disadvantage of the then-wounded Nerazzurri. So isn’t it normal to view this weekend’s derby as the ultimate title decider?
AS Roma are days away from having Thomas DiBenedetto as their new co-owner following reports of an agreement between both parties. But what does this move mean to Serie A’s struggling Juventus?

Coincidentally, AS Roma vs Juventus comes up this weekend. Ahead of this titanic encounter, Live Soccer TV analyses a few aspect concerning the Old Lady’s chances of qualifying for Europe compared to Roma’s expected revival.
Juventus are going through torrid periods this season with their defence hitting appalling records. They are 7th in Italy’s Serie A with 11 points behind 4th placed Udinese ahead of match-day 31. Now whereas clinching a Champions League spot seems a hard task to complete, securing a Europa League spot doesn’t appear to be that easy.
Italian clubs have suffered over the past few years and the last two days have proved to be disastrous for them as AS Roma and AC Milan were both knocked-out of the Champions League.
It was the league that the great Diego Maradona once played in. It is the league that Marco Van Basten, Frank Rijkaard and Ruud Gullit once featured in. It is also the league where Roberto Baggio developed his legendary status. However, the Italian Serie A has suffered from a major downfall over the past few years.
Two days ago, AS Roma were trashed 3-0 at Ukraine by Shakhtar, thus knocking the Italian club out of the Champions League by an aggregate score of 6-2. Perhaps Vincenzo Montella's lack of experience in understandable. But what happened at White Hart Lane last night completely justified the decline in Italian Football.
Frankly saying, Italian Football has been a catastrophe for the past few years. While Serie A is very far from extinction- with Inter Milan doing well in Europe, but it does have a range of difficulties.
AS Roma have to turn the tables around after suffering a shocking 3-2 defeat in the hands of Shakhtar Donetsk in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Last 16 tie.

That result means that a one-goal margin victory won’t be enough for Roma if they fail to hit the Ukrainians with more than 3 goals. However, with Montella now at the head of the Lupi’s coaching staff following Claudio Ranieri’s resignation, AS Roma director Paolo Montali is expecting his side to bounce back and thus qualify for the UEFA Champions League’s quarter-finals.
“We are going to Ukraine, but not as favourites like it could have been. We need to put in a great performance. We have to be focused and we have to play the perfect game,” Montali told Italian magazine Il Corriere dello Sport.
Former AS Roma coach has branded Italian football as a hell after he was sacked as a manager from AS Roma ealier this month.

Claudio Ranieri guided AS Roma to second place in the Serie A last year, after taking over in 2009. However, he endured a tough time with Roma this season and was sacked earlier this month after a dismal run of form that left them languishing in mid table.
Now, Ranieri has launched a stinging attack on Italian Football, labeling it as a hell to be in.
"In football there is heaven and hell. You can decide where you want to stand between the two but compared to England, its hell here," he told Rai TV.
AS Roma have revealed that their former striker Vincenzo Montella will replace Claudio Ranieri as the coach for the rest of the season.

Montella who scored 118 goals in 267 appearances in the Serie A will now take charge of the coach's duties for the rest of the season. He retired in 2009 after spending 10 years with Roma and was immediately installed back at Roma as a youth coach.
"A.S Roma have, today, given first team duties to Mr. Vincenzo Montella until the end of the current season,'' read a statement.
"We are certain he will be able to put the team's quality together with his professionalism, dedication, enthusiasm and experience."
Claudio Ranieri is no more AS Roma’s coach. The ex-Chelsea and Juve coach has resigned only to raise rumours about Carlo Ancelotti taking over at the Stadio Olimpico soon.

Four consecutive defeats in all competitions meant that Claudio Ranieri couldn’t remain any longer with the Giallorossi. AS Roma lost 5-3 to Inter Milan, 2-0 to Napoli, 3-2 to Shakhtar Donetsk and 4-3 to Genoa lately to complete an awful run of results since the start of February.
On Sunday, AS Roma recorded one of their worst defeats – not in terms of its goal margin, but in terms of its events. The Italian giants were 3-0 up against Genoa after 51 minutes but a brace from both Palacio and Paloschi stunned the Giallorossi as Claudio Ranieri could only watch his side in disgrace and frustration.
AS Roma defender John Arne Riise has came out and apologized to fans for his crucial mistake that allowed Shakhtar to score their third goal in the Champions League tie last night.

Roma defender Riise was utterly disappointed with the result last night that saw Shakhtar taking a three away goal advantage back home.
Riise was also frustrated by the mistake he made in the first half that gifted the visitors their third goal.
"I think today we played well, but after our first goal I don't know what happened. I made a mistake for the third goal but I think we can win away," Riise said, according to Sky Sport Italia.
When asked whether Roma have a defensive problem, Riise admitted that they do have a problem when it comes to defence.
"I think so; I also heard the fans were against me. Now I feel bad, really bad. I never want these things to happen. I was ready for the second-half and I hope the fans understand that I always try to do my best. I apologise to everyone," the left-back said.
First it was Marco Borriello, then Mirko Vucinic. Now, Julio Sergio’s recently-sustained injury adds to AS Roma’s predicaments ahead of their match against Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League.

The Brazilian goalkeeper is reported to have sprained his ankle during warm-up, yesterday; but the results of ensuing scans have fortunately alleviated the goalie’s situation, as they have affirmed that his ankle was not badly damaged. Still, it is unknown whether Coach Claudio Ranieri will let him start against the Ukrainian side. Yet, from a realistic point of view, it is very much likely that Julio will be replaced by the team’s second-choice keeper.
Roma are anticipated to undergo a serious change of tactical plans on Wednesday, in view of the fact that they have also lost Borriello and Vucinic subsequent to knocks in their health status. Rumour has it that the Italian forward defectively weakened his legs during his country’s friendly against Germany, while the Yugoslavian striker has allegedly contracted flu.
Shakhtar Donetsk rocked Group H by taking advantage of Arsenal’s failures to qualify as leaders of their section. The Ukrainians are now aiming to go past AS Roma in the Champions League’s Last 16.

Shakhtar Donetsk may be seen as the underdogs ahead of Wednesday’s clash, but captain Srna is not ready to seat back with a weak mindset. The Shakhtar player is looking forward to helping his side bring down one of Italy’s giants – AS Roma.
According to Darijo Srna, tarnishing the Giallorossi’s defence at the Stadio Olimpico should play the trick. Speaking to Calcionews24.com, he explained:
“We need to score at least one goal away from home. If we do that, then it will be easier to play the second leg of this tie. I think this will help us shift up a gear.”
Shakhtar have confirmed that their centreback Kucher will miss the first leg game against Roma with a "serious knee injury".

FC Shakhtar Donetsk centre-back Olexandr Kucher will miss the first leg of the Ukrainian champions' UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against AS Roma because of a knee injury.
Shakhtar have arrived in Rome ahead of the second round tie against Roma. However, Kucher is not on the travelling team list despite playing for Ukraine in the international friendly against Sweden last week.
"Kucher has a serious injury," said Shakhtar coach Mircea Lucescu. "He will definitely miss the game."
No further details on the length of the 28-year-old's absence have so far been revealed. The return leg will take place in Donetsk on 8 March.
