The highly-rated free agent will makes his La Liga debut following a two-year spell at Manchester United.

After a long wait to define his immediate future, striker Edinson Cavani has decided to try his goalscoring shoes in La Liga by joining Valencia.

The former Manchester United player will join Los Naranjeros after he decided to put pen to paper to a two-year deal with the Spanish side coached by Gennaro Gattuso. Cavani scored nineteen goals for the Red Devils in the last two seasons, although he saw his playing time limited last year due to an injury and because of Cristiano Ronaldo's return to Old Trafford.

Cavani will play with his first La Liga club after turning down offers from Atlético Madrid and Villarreal, who were reportedly closer to signing him a couple of weeks back. Apparently, Cavani was tempted by the club's project rather than money, as he had offers from other clubs such as Ligue 1's Nice, who offered him a longer deal while collecting more money for his services.

Here's how the Spanish side unveiled their new signing moments ago.

Cavani makes it to the Spanish side with his sights set on playing for Uruguay in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The footballer remained working on his own since he left Manchester United, which has seen him vow that he might be available to play for Los Naranjeros as soon as requested.
