Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo donated €60,000 to help save a young boy. The Ballon d'Or winner had heard about a young Real Madrid fan who is suffering of a brain illness and was in need of a life saving surgery.

The young boy's name is Erik Ortiz Cruz and is only 10 months old but is suffering from a brain condition called cortical dysplasia which results in severe seizures.

The young Los Blancos fan was brought to the Portuguese attention by the parents, who asked Ronaldo to donate a pair of signed boots. The parents planned on selling them in an auction to raise money for the boy's surgery. When Ronaldo found out that the boy was suffering from a brain condition and the treatment would cost €60,000, he offered to pay for it in whole.

Ronaldo is also helping covering the cost of any future treatments or operations by donating signed kits and boots for auctioning.

Is this a show of humanity from the Portuguese or a personal attempt to clean his "arrogant" image worldwide?
