Benfica and Argentine defender Ezequiel Garay has only one year left in his contract with the Portuguese side S.L. Benfica. This has of course caused rumors of a possible summer exit to heat up. Amidst these rumors, Garay's agent Rafael Zurro has hinted at a possible summer exit.

The former Real Madrid man was linked with an exit during last year's summer transfer window with Manchester United believed to be in pole position for his sginature. A move never materialised and Garay remained at Benfica, for another year at least. However, this hasn't hindered his agent from flirting with a possible move.

“Benfica resisted offers because they want to win the league title,” said his agent. “It can be a difficult decision to understand but we accept it - we will see what happens in the future.”

“He has only one year left of his contract. Logically there will be headlines in the summer. We'll see what happens.”

With Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic's exit confirmed, Garay could be seen as his future replacement. Manchester United would have to fend off competition though as Zenit St Petersburg is rumored to have entered in the race for the Argentine defender.
