Los Angeles, CA (April 14, 2010) – Fox Soccer Channel and FOX Sports Net (FSN) will feature live and exclusive coverage of the 2009/10 UEFA Champions League Semifinal round in high-definition, with four elite European clubs doing battle over two rounds on April 20, 21, 27 and 28.
The world’s most prestigious club soccer competition resumes Tuesday, April 20 at 2 p.m. ET with UEFA Champions League Pregame on FSN, presented by Geico, featuring a breakdown of the day’s up-coming action from expert analysts Warren Barton and Bobby McMahon. The opening-leg Semifinal that day will be a showdown between Inter Milan and defending champion FC Barcelona at 2:45pm ET. The Italian heavyweights went winless in their two Group Stage matches against Barcelona, and will be looking for redemption when this two-legged tie begins at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Live coverage continues Wednesday, April 21 on Fox Soccer Channel as Bayern München hosts first-time semifinalist Olympique Lyonnais. UEFA Champions League Pregame will set the table at 2 p.m. ET for this clash between the German giants and the storied French club at Allianz Arena.
The following week, the venues and networks reverse for the decisive second legs. On Tuesday, April 27, Lyon welcomes Bayern to the Stade de Gerland, live on FSN. The next day, Barcelona’s Camp Nou will be rocking with 100,000 fans as the Catalan giants and Inter fight for a spot in the title match.
The UEFA Champions League Final will air live and exclusively on FOX Sports on Saturday, May 22 at 2:30 p.m. ET from Madrid.
