The 2022 AFC Women’s Asian Cup kicks off Thursday, Feb. 20, and this is how you can watch all the action in more than 26 countries around the globe including the USA.

Australia already qualified as a co-host and five other teams will qualify directly to the World Cup depending on group stage performances. AFC Women's Asian Cup winningest nation, reigning champions and debutants

Countries that lie in the Pacific Rim have dominated the Asian Women's Championship since its inception in 1975. The China women's national team is the winningest side in competition history, lifting the cup on eight different occasions. In fact, China won in seven consecutive times. However, Japan are the reigning champions after consecutive wins in 2014 and 2018.

The 20th edition of the Asian Women's Championship welcomes Iran, the only team that will make their debut. This is a big feat for women in Iran, who have fought oppression away from the sport for decades. Iran's debut is a victory for women in the country, and it should be celebrated throughout the competition.
