The 21 year-old Colombian midfielder has taken full control of the spotlight at the Estadio do Dragao since the departure of Hulk.

Italian side Juventus appears to prepared to make an offer for Porto's James Rodriguez. Since arriving at Porto in July of 2010 in a transfer worth 5.1 Million Euros, James has evolved into one of the world's most exciting players to watch.

The Vecchia Signora find themselves in first place in the Seria A, three points clear of Lazio. After claiming the Italian Title last season, Juventus has continued its great form into the current campaign.

With the first knockout stage of the Champions League set to kick-off in February, Juventus could do with a few additions to their squad, although it is unknown if the Italian giants would look to sign James during the January transfer window.

Juventus was in the running to sign James when he had originally signed for Porto in 2010 from Banfield. They now look to guarantee his signature in what will be a very lucrative deal for the Portuguese side.

James' release clause is set at 45 Million Euros, with 30% of his economic rights belonging to a third party.

His talent and ability to make the difference in the final third would be a pleasant breath of fresh air for Juventus. He can not only play down the middle, but he can also play a wide position just as he can play as a second forward.

Pace, creativity and outstanding vision are just a few of his strong points on the pitch. With Juventus currently first in the Serie A, James' addition to the squad would really send a message to their competitors.
