The Italian champions scored twice in extra time to overcome difficult opponents in an exciting six-goal thriller.
Juventus scored twice in extra time to beat Napoli 4-2 in the Italian Supercup in Beijing, China, on Saturday.

Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani put Napoli ahead in the 27th minute when he was sent through on goal and scored at the second attempt, but Kwadwo Asamoah drew Juventus level ten minutes later when he blasted home a superb volley from the edge of the area.

However, Goran Pandev restored Napoli's lead just before the half-time break when he took advantage of a defensive error, before beating Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon with a tricky deft chip.

Juventus, whose coach Antonio Conte was suspended for ten months after being involved in an Italian soccer match-fixing scandal, picked up their game in the second period, as they pushed for an equaliser.

After much pressure, their goal finally arrived in the 74th minute when Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal fired home a penalty kick.

Both teams went in search of a winner towards the end of the game, but Napoli's chances of winning the match became almost impossible when Pandev and Juan Zuniga reduced them to ten-men late on.

Juventus took full advantage of their numerical advantage in extra time, and ended up winning the game with an own goal from Napoli midfielder Christian Maggio and a simple close-range finish from Mirko Vucinic.

It was the fifth time that Juventus lifted the Italian Supercup, and their first since 2003 when they beat AC Milan 5-3 in a penalty shoot-out.
