On the eve of his official Inter Milan debut the interim coach stated that his new squad are worthy of wearing the prized black and blue stripes.
Andrea Stramaccioni is hoping that he will get his Inter Milan debut off to a winning start when his team welcome Genoa to the San Siro stadium on Sunday.

His debut at the helm has generated much hype, particularly due to his inexperience, but the 36-year-old wants to put all words aside to concentrate on helping his team regain their winning mentality.

"There have been enough words, enough promises, now we must provide answers on the field. I am and I feel like the Inter coach, and what I say to the fans is that there have been enough words, now we must play like Inter," Stramaccioni declared to reporters during a press conference.

The coach continued: "Actions are more important than words. That is what I want and what the players want. They are incredible professionals and are determined to turn things around. From tomorrow onwards, we'll give everything and more to offer our fans some joy."

Inter come into the clash having lost 2-0 to Juventus last weekend, in a match where they were almost completely outplayed, especially in the second half.

The lack of enthusiasm visible in their squad received heavy criticism, to the degree that many questioned whether certain members of the squad are worthy of wearing the Inter Milan shirt.

However, Stramaccioni rejected the notion, by stating that from what he has seen from the training sessions this week, he counts with great professionals.

"These players are magnificent, they give 100 percent. They give 100 percent for Stramaccioni, they gave it before and they would have given it for whichever coach was chosen, because they are great professionals," he concluded.

According to reports, Stramaccioni will field a three-man attack, comprising of Diego Milito, Diego Forlan and Mauro Zarate, to improve his team's chances of beating Genoa on Sunday.

Inter Milan must obtain maximum points against Genoa in order to remain with an outside chance of qualifying for Europe next season.
