The Argentine goal-poacher has been much of the reason for the Azzurri's recent resurgence and will be hoping to continue to impress against the Londoners.
Ezequiel Lavezzi, the in-form Argentine striker of Napoli, rates his team's chances of reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League ahead of their crucial clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.

The Neapolitans come into the game with a 3-1 advantage from the first leg at the Stadio San Paolo, courtesy of two goals from Lavezzi and another from Uruguayan strike-partner Edinson Cavani, and according to the former San Lorenzo man Napoli are currently in exceptional form.

"We come into this game in the best possible manner, with six consecutive victories and high on morale," Lavezzi stated to Napoli's official website.

But despite Napoli's impressive record, Lavezzi is still weary about the threat posed by Chelsea, particularly because the London-based club converted a valuable away goal in Italy.

"It will be a stiff battle but we are prepared and focused. We are conscious of having a date with history."

Napoli will be hoping to take full advantage of their first leg advantage in order to assure themselves of a spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time in their entire history.

The fact that they count with one of the most prolific attacking partnerships in Europe increases their chances of overcoming a vulnerable Chelsea side who have only won three out of their seven Champions League games this season.

If Lavezzi and Cavani are at their very best, there's no doubt that Napoli will cruise into the last eight of Europe's most prestigious club competition.
