Arsenal’s season is going badly and Tottenham Hotspur have the potential to make matters even worse. Spurs and the Gunners will meet on Sunday in a crucial encounter.
Arsenal are struggling to fulfil their top-four finish wish. The English Premier League is very competitive this season as Newcastle United, Liverpool and Chelsea have all joined Arsenal in the European zone battle.

Interestingly, Tottenham Hotspur seat well above Arsenal. It is the first time since 1995 that Spurs will face the Gunners having that advantage in the table but Robin van Persie feels all is not lost for his side as he told reporters:

“They [Spurs] are above us for the first time in many years but it's in our hands to change the way things are going, win the game and start moving closer to them.”

Arsene Wenger and his men can almost wave goodbye to the 2011/12 UEFA Champions League following their 4-0 first leg defeat to AC Milan in the Last 16. As if this current situation isn’t hard enough to take, the Gunners are facing the prospect of playing UEFA Europa League football next season.

Beating Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday is a must and goal poacher Robin van Persie wants his team mates to react to their troubles in style.

“A draw will not be a good result for us, either in our bid to catch up with Spurs or in our efforts to fight off our other challengers for a Champions League place.

“What better way to set things straight again than to beat Spurs?”
