This week will feature the final of the CONCACAF W Gold Cup, plus games from England, Germany, and more.

This weekend will feature the conclusion of the 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup, but that is not all the interesting football matches taking place over the next few days.

Here's all you need to know ahead of another week in women's football.

What to watch in women's football: March 8 to March 10

Frauen-Bundesliga

Matchday 15 of the 2023/24 Frauen-Bundesliga season gets underway on Friday featuring SGS Essen (8th) vs MSV Duisburg (12th). Arguably, the biggest matches of this round will be Saturday's match starring Eintracht Frankfurt (3rd) vs Bayern München (1st), while Wolfsburg, who sit in second place just one point behind Bayern, will be in action against Leipzig on Monday, March 11th.

CONCACAF W Gold Cup

The inaugural CONCACAF W Gold Cup will come to an end this Sunday, as Brazil and the USWNT prepare to do battle in the upcoming final. Brazil secured their spot here thanks to a comfortable 3-0 win over Mexico, while the Stars and Stripes had to survive a nervy penalty shoot-out to finally beat Canada. It will be very interesting to see if fatigue will be a factor for Team USA due to having played well over a half hour more of football than their upcoming opponents.

Women's FA Cup

More Women's FA Cup games will be taking place this weekend, with Saturday and Sunday featuring double-headers. On Saturday, the action will start with Liverpool vs Leicester City, followed by Brighton vs Manchester United. Then, on Sunday, March 10th, Everton will host reigning WSL champions Chelsea, followed by Tottenham hoping to match wits with title contenders Manchester City.

Teenage striker Jaedyn Shaw makes history during team's win over Canada

It was a rather dismal day on the pitch - at least in terms of the weather - as Canada and the USWNT locked horns in the second of the 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup semi-finals.

However, despite the water-logged conditions, it was a great day at the office for Jaedyn Shaw, who took advantage of some poor decision making from Canada to nick her fourth goal of the competition.

In doing so, the 19-year-old now has made it four goals from her first four starts, and is the first ever player to achieve such a feat. The youngster, who plays her club football for NWSL side San Diego Wave, is also currently the top goalscorer in the CONCACAF W Gold Cup and will naturally be aiming to continue her record-breaking run when her team face Brazil in the final on March 10th.

What to watch in women's football: March 11 to March 14

Frauen-Bundesliga

Monday, March 11th sees the conclusion of matchday 15, with title contenders Wolfsburg welcoming RB Leipzig. Depending on how things go in Bayern's away game against Frankfurt, Wolfsburg could find themselves four points behind in the battle for the title - or alternatively, could reclaim top spot here should Bayern fail to beat their upcoming hosts. Either way, this match surely will be one not to miss for Frauen-Bundesliga fans, and viewers in the USA can live-stream this tie via DAZN.

Incoming USWNT boss Emma Haye's official debut announced

As interim boss Twila Kilgore looks to end her term in charge of the USWNT on a high note, many eyes are already looking towards the future. Chelsea boss Emma Hayes, who was announced at the new USWNT coach last November, will be aiming to help the team find their footing as they take part at the upcoming Olympic Games.

But before then, the English tactician will have a chance to get to know her players and figure out her best tactical formations in June, as the USWNT will be facing South Korea in a series of friendly matches on June 1 and June 4th. The pressure will surely be on Hayes to lead Team USA to success, especially as the Stars and Stripes have not won a gold medal since 2012.
