Man City enjoyed a clean sweep, winning the Premier League Player of the Season, Young Player of the Season, and Manager of the Season awards.

The 2020/21 Premier League campaign came to a wrap a while back but the time for handing out the end-of-season awards has just arrived. The English top-flight unveiled their picks for the player, young player, and manager of the year, which all went to champions Man City.

The Player of the Season recipient was none other than Ruben Dias, the newly-signed center-back who was at the heart of the Cityzens' impressive campaign. Team-mate Kevin De Bruyne was also a candidate for this accolade but the honor went to the Portuguese center-back, having made an immediate impact in Guardiola's back four.

The former Benfica man, who joined last summer for $92M, quickly turned things around for the Etihad Stadium side after their poor start to the campaign. The Portuguese talent formed a rock-solid partnership with John Stones and registered a whopping 15 clean sheets in the 32 outings he made.

Dias also played a vital role in Man City's Carabao Cup success and put in stellar displays in the UEFA Champions League semi-final victory over PSG despite losing the final 1-0 to Chelsea. The aforementioned was enough to see him beat out Harry Kane, the Premier League Golden Boot winner, to the prize as well as Man Utd's Bruno Fernandes, Aston Villa's Jack Grealish, Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, Chelsea's Mason Mount, and West Ham's Tomas Soucek.

The center-back adds this to the Football Writers' Association gong he picked up earlier, becoming the first defender to win the FWA Footballer of the Year honor. He is also the fourth defender to receive the Premier League's Player of the Season prize, following in the footsteps of Man Utd's Nemanja Vidic, former City captain Vincent Kompany, and Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk.

As for the Young Player of the Season award, that too went to a Man City man, with Phil Foden racking up the accolade. Having patiently waited for his opportunity in Pep's starting eleven, the young Englishman's moment to shine finally came this term, scoring nine goals and registering five assists in 28 appearances.

Speaking of Guardiola, the Spaniard was named the Premier League Manager of the Season, completing the Cityzens clean sweep. He saw off competition from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Marcelo Bielsa, David Moyes, and Brendan Rodgers after lifting the league title by a 12-point lead. Tottenham's Erik Lamela was also honored for his audacious rabona goal against Arsenal in the North London Derby, being awarded the 2020/21 Premier League Goal of the Season.
