Matchday 13 ended with Real Madrid creating a 6-point gap over Barcelona at the top of La Liga’s table. Cristiano Ronaldo, however, believes Madrid’s advantage is not really decisive.
The winger scored twice from the spot and provided the assist for Di Maria's goal as the Spanish giants trounced city rivals Atletico Madrid 4-1 last Saturday.

Barcelona, meanwhile, lost 3 vital points away to Getafe later that same day. Eventually, Real Madrid have 34 points whereas the Catalans are on 28 points. Los Blancos have been tipped to enter January as La Liga leaders, but Cristiano Ronaldo prefers not to look too far ahead.

“There's still a long way to go, we don't think we have already won La Liga. We want to win everything,” Ronaldo reportedly told AS.

Los Blancos are indeed on course to reaching great heights this season. In the UEFA Champions League, they’ve secured qualification as group winners and Cristiano Ronaldo is hopeful about the team’s chances.

Following Real Madrid’s comprehensive victory over Dinamo Zagreb last week, the 26-year-old Portuguese star declared according to newspaper Record:

“This may be the best Madrid team since I arrived at the club, but we are going to have to win things to confirm it.

“Real are always favorite to win the trophy, but we also know that it is very hard to do it, but I think it is possible for us to win it.”

But with the UEFA Champions League’s Last 16 stage taking place in February 2012, the focus at the Bernabeu is on the hunt for La Liga’s trophy. This weekend, Real Madrid will play away to Sporting Gijon.

Tonight, second-placed Barcelona could reduce the gap to only 3 points. Victory over Rayo Vallecano at the Camp Nou, where they are so far unbeaten, will assure the Catalans just that.
