Manchester United will play host to Benfica in a battle of UEFA Champions League Group C’s joint leaders on Tuesday.
The winner of this game will seal their progress into the knockout stages of the tournament, while the loser will fight it out with FC Basel for second place.

Basel are currently three points behind United and Benfica, and will be looking to keep their own qualification hopes alive with a win at last placed Otelul Galati.

Napoli and Manchester City will face off in a crucial Group A clash on Tuesday. City currently occupy the second qualification spot in the group, but Napoli are only two points further back and can leapfrog City with a win in Naples.

Group A leaders Bayern Munich can qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League with a home win over last placed Villarreal.

Group B leaders Inter Milan can seal their progress into the last 16 with a win at Trabzonspor. Trabzonspor are joint second place in Group B alongside CSKA Moscow, who will play host to last placed Lille.

Real Madrid can win Group D with a home victory over Dinamo Zagreb, while AFC Ajax can seal a spot in the last 16 in they beat third placed Lyon.

Moscow are currently tied for second place in the group alongside Trabzonspor, while last placed Lille are three points further back and will be eliminated if they lose this game.





CSKA will be without leading goal scorer Seydou Doumbia, who was sent off during the matchday four draw at Trabzonspor.





Zoran Tosic and Igor Akinfeev are sidelined with injury for Moscow, while Tomas Necid and Mark Gonzalez are also ruled out.





Keisuke Honda and Sekou Oliseh are expected to return form injury for CSKA, while Viktor Vasin will be assessed ahead of kickoff.





Florent Balmont is doubtful with a knee injury for Lille, while Benoit Pedretti and Marko Basa are ruled out.

Real coach Jose Mourinho is expected to rotate his lineup for this game, but this week confirmed that Lassana Diarra will play, and that Turkish midfielder Nuri Sahin will make his first start for the club.





Angel Di Maria, Kaka and Ricardo Carvalho are ruled out with injury for Real, while Marcelo and Alvaro Arbeloa are not expected to play.

While Madrid are resting some players it still seems a bold statement, given the fact that Real have a 100% winning record without conceding in Group D, and pointless Zagreb have not yet scored.

Goalkeeper Julio Cesar and Yuto Nagamoto have recovered from injury in time to play for Inter, while Brazilian pair Maicon and Coutinho are injury doubts.





Giampaolo Pazzini will lead the Inter attack, and has scored two goals in four Champions League games so far this season.


FC Basel will be looking to keep alive their qualification hopes alive when they travel to face Otelul Galati.
