Manchester City drew their opening match of the UEFA Champions League against Napoli but they are maintaining high hopes ahead of this week’s clash away to Bayern Munich.
“I think we will go and attack them. We can stick to our footballing principles. We don't have to change our style against other teams — home or away,” said midfielder David Silva.

“We believe in what we are doing and have confidence in each other so we will keep doing the same things.”

Bayern Munich are going through a great run at the moment. They currently top their group in the UEFA Champions League thanks to a 2-0 defeat of Villarreal but this doesn’t scare David Silva who continued:

“The truth is Napoli played very well and they are a strong team, but we always try and do our best and keep our style of football.

“Against Bayern Munich we will try the same — to keep the ball, play with the same style and get a positive result.”

Echoing his team mate’s words, James Milner told the press:

“Bayern Munich away is obviously a big game but you have to concentrate on the football side of it. We just go into it concentrating on what we can do.

“The way we play, we change formations a lot. Even when we play in a certain way, players interchange. There is fluidity and movement and we can cause them problems.”
