Manchester City will begin their Premier League campaign on Monday when they play host to newly promoted Swansea City.
City will be looking to start fast, after perennial contenders Chelsea and Arsenal both dropped points with draws over the weekend. Also, if City win they will be the first home team to win a game in the Premier League game this season.

Unsettled striker Carlos Tevez will not play for City, while fellow Argentine Sergio Aguero is expected to be on the bench. Edin Dzeko, who scored against Manchester United in the Community Shield, and Mario Balotelli are expected to lead the City attack.

The Swansea defense know they will be in for a touch Premier League opener, and it is made no easier by the fact that Captain Garry Monk is struggling with a foot injury.

New signings Danny Graham and Leroy Lita are expected to lead the Swansea attack, while new signing Wayne Routledge should also play.
 

Queens Park Rangers will play their first Premier League game since 1996 when they play host to Bolton Wanderers.





The QPR game will go ahead despite their preparations going on in the chaotic midst of the London riots this week.





Veteran striker Rob Hulse is sidelined with injury for QPR, while summer signings Jay Bothroyd, Kieron Dyer and Danny Gabbidon are all expected to start.





Powerhouse striker Kevin Davies will be ready to give QPR a physical welcome to the Premier League, while new signings Nigel Reo-Coker and Chris Eagles should feature for Bolton. Summer arrival Tuncay will be unable to play as he has not yet received a work permit.
