Real Madrid have allowed Valencia to acquire the services of Sergio Canales on a loan deal.
Sergio Canales never managed to prove his worth at the Santiago Bernabeu. The 20-year-old midfielder made only 15 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions and never found the target but produced a single assist.

The Spanish giants finally decided to let him join La Liga rivals Valencia on a loan deal. This piece of transfer news came out as was written on Real Madrid’s official website on Thursday night:

“Real Madrid CF and Valencia CF have reached an agreement for the transfer of Sergio Canales. Valencia CF have a purchase option by which Real Madrid CF would retain their right to repurchase the player.”

Valencia are looking to boost their midfield with Juan Mata likely to leave the club for England if rumors are to be believed. Real Madrid, meanwhile, have a lot of midfield options to choose from with Nuri Sahin’s arrival from Borussia Dortmund earlier this summer.

Los Blancos also possess the likes of Sami Khedira, Mesut Özil, Xabi Alonso and recent transfer signing Hamit Altintop. Kaka, besides, may not quit the Santiago Bernabeu despite speculations from the media as Jose Mourinho has backed the Brazilian to enjoy a great season.
