Ganso, Neymar and Pato have a lot more to learn and give to the Brazilian national team, Parreira believes.
Ex-Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira has analyzed Brazil’s new generation of players characterized by the recent inclusion of youngsters Ganso, Neymar and number 9 striker Alexandre Pato. Parreira was quoted as saying at a press conference last weekend:

“Currently in Brazil, we have a new team with exciting youngsters like Pato, Neymar and Ganso. It comes after the time of the likes of Cafu, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho and Kaka, so the challenge is great. The young players still have plenty to learn and need to mature a bit.”

The Selecção failed to defend their Copa America trophy in Argentina as Paraguay ousted them in the quarter-finals. Neymar was singled out as one of the competition’s flop following his inability to reproduce the form that helped him inspire Santos to win the 2011 Copa Libertadores.

Neymar’s future currently remains undecided with reports suggesting that a move to Real Madrid is just around the corner whereas Santos insists that the 19-year-old striker will remain in Brazil.
