Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie has frankly expressed displeasure upon the conduct of Chelsea and Barcelona players toward officials during games.
According to the Dutchman, both teams’ participants are constantly trying to put referees under pressure by badly influencing them. Van Persie himself was a victim of the Catalans’ manners back in early March at the Camp Nou, when he was controversially shown a red card.

The striker has yet to forget about this haunting moment, and speaking to Sport 1, he made no efforts to hide his irritation: “They (Barca players) always go up to referees in an attempt to get an opponent booked,” he said.

“That kind of behaviour really annoys me… People who are watching the game on TV and fans really do not want to see this kind of things.

He continued: “If you want to witness a lot of complaints, (then) you should just go to the bakery or something. There are always people nagging there as well.”

But Barcelona were not the only side that Van Persie had to slam. He also had London rivals Chelsea in mind, and he bluntly took his opportunity to communicate a crude message to the Blues, as well as to other clubs sharing their comportment.

“Chelsea players are always bitching against the referees (too). I really cannot understand that; just shut the f*** up and focus on playing football.”
