As we prepare for Schalke vs Manchester United tonight, Live Soccer TV previews five magical players that could send them into the Champiosn league final at Wembley

Manchester United have always had this patient virtue of trusting in players who perform together as a team. Ever since Sir Matt Busby was at the helm about half a century ago. The Busby Babes like they were hailed, represented something like a finished article at that time. The magic and spirit in the squad was super strong that even the Munich disaster in 1958 failed to stop them from entering the FA Cup Final that very same season, nor win the Champions League ten years after losing almost their whole squad.

It has always been a fundamental aspect of the legacy at Old Trafford. There is a believe here that no one is bigger than the club. However, it is the collective team spirit of the United players that has seen them win games week in, week out. Nonetheless, the Red Devils are also capable of producing some magical individual moments, which by all means can win them matches.

As far as the 1999 Champions League triumph was concerned, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Teddy Sheringham were the prominent ones that won the game for United in a dramatic fashion. Nine years after that magical night at the Nou Camp, it was Cristiano Ronaldo's turn to inspire Sir Alex's men into the Champions League.

So basically, we are focusing on the individuals who can bring ONE simple moment of magic to literally destroy the opposition in a split second. And as Manchester United get ready to take on Schalke in the Champions League semi final clash tonight, Live Soccer TV previews the seven players who can escort Manchester United into the final at Wembley.

Nani: Manchester United's Portuguese Wizard 2.0

Arriving to club where a fellow Portuguese was already the talisman of the club would have difficult for Nani. Rightly so, Nani struggled to make a consistent impact on the United team during his early stages. But, the departure of Ronaldo presented him with a chance to showcase his true talent and that was exactly what he did.

Fans who closely follow Nani and Man United will be aware of his performance in their win over Arsenal one and a half year ago. Perhaps the first half of their Champions League tie against Bayern Munich at Old Trafford was another example of Nani's anomalistic abilities as a winger.

So, why do we rate him as a key player in United's bid for glory in Europe this season? Give a brief look into Nani's statistics this season and you will understand a lot about it. He is leading the Premier League assist charts with 18 assists so far this season. And his nine goals from midfield doesn't do any harm to his reputation as well.

So, if there were to be goals for United against Schalke tonight, you can definitely bet on Nani providing all the needed ammunition from the wing.

Antonio Valencia: Pace And Direct Approach Does Bring Devastation

Antonio Valencia never really made the cut at El Madrigal with Villareal but won't the Yellow Submarines have any regrets when they him blaze past defenders at Old Trafford nowadays. Valencia was apparently brought in as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo although both these players have very different style.

While the likes of Ronaldo and Nani are more dazzling and spellbinding to watch, Valencia is more of an old-fashioned winger, who just simply utilizes his pure pace and direct approach to bring nightmares to defender. After all, Sir Alex was convinced after seeing John O'Shea suffer against the Ecuadorian in a leage match vs Wigan.

The rather quiet personality suffered a horrific injury earlier this season but perhaps he came back just at the right time as United were kicking start their engines for the final push in the season. And considering how persistent Valencia was against Everton last weekend, Schalke's Hans Sarpei can expect one hell of a night later on. There will be no surprises if Valencia eventually turns provider for either Hernandez or Rooney to finish off with a goal. No surprises at all. Perhaps, that is what Valencia is all about.

Wayne Rooney: Universal Threat For Red Devils

Wayne Rooney can literally play in any position as an outfield player. Forward, midfield, defence, just say it and Rooney will give you 110% wherever you ask him to play. That's the nature of Rooney that makes him probably United's most dangerous player.

Live Soccer TV previously discussed about how Rooney poses a significant danger to Schalke's hopes of defeating the Devils here. Well, the fact that he is hitting top form just at the right time is probably enough to send shivers down Ralf Ragnick's spine ahead of their clash tonight. Because we all know what an in-form 'Wazza' can bring to United's level of performance.

Ryan Giggs: 38 Years Old And Still A Match Winner

Sir Alex Ferguson must have been cracking his head when United were largely unable to break down a compact Everton defence last weekend. But the introduction of the evergreen Ryan Giggs was the catalyst behind their last-gasp winner. Well, it's probably true that Antonio Valencia and Javier Hernandez were the obvious providers of the goal but a closer inspection into the flow of the game will reveal the massive difference that Giggs made.

How many times have we said that he keeps getting younger although his age increases. The experience that he possesses is probably second to none and so much so that he has been voted as the Greatest Ever Player to have played in a Manchester United shirt.

So, while Nani, Valencia and Rooney can provide the direct threat, what Ryan Giggs does best is supply that much needed creativity into United's midfield. And expect Giggs to once again play a very important part if he is started against Schalke later tonight. Who knows, we might even see a trademark solo goal from the legendary Welshman?

Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez: Little Pea Yet So Enterprising

Talk about Fernando Torres costing a hefty price and Hernandez comes to mind. 6 Million Pounds was all it took to bring Chicharito to the competitive English Premier League. And while nobody expected him to make any sort of recognizable impact, Hernandez has basically taken the league by storm.

An extremely enthusiastic player, Hernandez has this special predatory instincts that have seen him being compared with the likes of Denis Law and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The number 14 of United has been a complete revelation for Sir Alex this season considering how lethal he has been in his first season with them. 19 goals so far doesn't sound like a bad record at all right?

So, the tale shows that even Dimitar Berbatov has dropped down the pecking order behind Hernandez and nobody will even blame Sir Alex for that decision despite the Bulgarian being their top-scorer. The Mexican keeps a fresh smile all the time and takes on defenders as though it's a life and death matter. The intensity in his game is massive and his movements off the ball hace been terrific so far. What else do you need to be successful at Old Trafford.

Perhaps, he will once against prove to be the difference against Schalke tonight? You'll never know right? After all, he won the Marseille and Chelsea tie for United.
