Liverpool have not tasted victory at the Emirates before this although Andy Carroll is upbeat about his side's chances tonight.
Liverpool are currently engaged in a battle for European spots with City and Spurs while Arsenal are living their dreams of overturning a seven point lead for Manchester United to lift the Premier League title. Nevertheless, both teams are set to face off in an all important match at the Emirates tonight.

Speaking of the Emirates, Liverpool have never won a game there ever since Arsenal shifted to their new stadium. However, one Liverpool player who has had the experience of winning at the Emirates is confident that his side will be able to break their duck later tonight.

Andy Carroll scored the winner for Newcastle United when his former club took on the Gunners last year. While the England striker is currently plying his trade with Kenny Dalglish's men, he certainly believes that tonight represents the perfect chance for his side to vanquish their curse at the Emirates.

He told the club's official website: “We need to work hard to close them down and make sure that we don't give them space or time on the ball because we know what a good side Arsenal are and what they can do if you allow them to do that.

"All the Newcastle lads played well that day. It was a great ball in from Joey Barton and it was something that we had practiced in training beforehand.

"He put it right where I wanted it and the 'keeper was in two minds whether to come and claim it or not. I got there first and put it into the back of the net.

"There's no reason why Liverpool can't win there and all the lads are confident that we can beat Arsenal."
