Second placed Norwich City will be looking to extend a seven game unbeaten streak when they travel to face Hull City on Saturday.
League leading Queens Park Rangers will also be in action and could extend their seven point lead at the top of the table with a win at struggling Doncaster Rovers.

All four occupants of the playoff spots will also be in action on Saturday. Swansea City and Nottingham Forest will go head to head, while Cardiff City and Leeds United will travel to face Millwall and Sheffield United respectively.

At the bottom end of the table, last placed Preston North End will play host to slumping Coventry City, while Scunthorpe United will face Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

Crystal Palace will be hoping to pull clear of the bottom three with a win over Derby County.
 

Relegation threatened Sheffield United will play host to promotion chasing Leeds United in the early kickoff on Saturday.





The Blades are currently in the relegation zone six points adrift of safety, while Leeds currently occupy the playoff zone. Leeds are the Championship’s leading goal scorers, while the Blades have scored less than any team in the division.





Blades duo Darius Henderson and Lee Williamson are suspended, while Johnny Ertl is ruled out with a knee problem. Matt Lowton is an injury doubt, while Bjorn Helge Riise is set to return from a hamstring strain.





Defender Paul Connolly will return for Leeds after a long injury layoff, while captain Richard Naylor should also be fit to play.



Playoff chasing Burnley will continue their promotion challenge when they travel to face Bristol City on Saturday. Burnley are three points behind sixth placed Nottingham Forest with a game in hand, while Bristol are 10 points further back.





Burnley will be looking to extend a four game unbeaten run away from home, while Bristol will be looking for their third straight home win.





Defender Liam Fontaine looks set to miss out for an ankle injury for Bristol. Even if he manages to face Burnley, Fontaine is likely to undergo season ending surgery next week.





Dean Marney is doubtful for Burnley with a knee problem and will be assessed ahead of kickoff. Charlie Austin, Steven Thompson, Martin Paterson and Chris McCann are all ruled out with injury for the Clarets.



Cardiff City will continue their promotion challenge when they travel to face mid-table Millwall on Saturday. Cardiff are four points behind second placed Norwich City and will be looking to snap a three game winless skid. Millwall are seven points behind the playoff spots and will be looking for their third straight win.





Defender Darren Purse is back from suspension for Millwall, while striker Neil Harris will return from a hip injury. Midfielder Hameur Bouazza could also feature for the Lions after recovering from a knee problem.





Striker Michael Chopra is ruled out for Cardiff with a torn hamstring, while goalkeepers Tom Heaton and David Marshall remain sidelined with injury.


Rock bottom Preston North End will play host to Coventry City having snapped a 15 game winless streak in midweek. Preston’s 3-0 win at Scunthorpe United means they are now 10 points adrift of safety, while Coventry are eight points above the drop zone after a six game winless streak.





PNE have no fresh injury concerns, and manager Phil Brown looks set to field the same team that earned him his first win as manager in midweek.





Striker Marlon King is suspended for Coventry, while Martin Cranie is ruled out with a hamstring injury. Clive Platt and Lee Carsley are injury doubts and will be assessed ahead of kickoff.

Ipswich captain David Norris is out with an ankle problem, while Mark Kennedy is a long-term injury absentee. Colin Healy could feature for the Tractor Boys after recovering from a stomach problem.





Sam Togwell and Ben Gordon will return from injury for Scunthorpe, while Andy Hughes could also be sidelined.



Leicester City and Portsmouth will go head to head with both teams looking for points to keep their playoff hopes alive. Leicester are five points behind sixth placed Nottingham Forest, while Portsmouth are four points further back.





Chelsea loanee Jeffrey Bruma could return for Leicester, while Steve Howard and Patrick van Aanholt are sidelined with injury for the Foxes.





Former Portsmouth striker Yakubu Ayegbini will lead the Leicester attack against a Pompey team that has kept clean sheets in seven of their last eight games.

Defender Claude Davis could start for Palace against his former club, while Paddy McCarthy (suspension) and Alex Marrow (injury) will miss out for the Eagles.





Tomasz Cywka is sidelined for Derby with a knee problem, while Jake Buxton (groin) and Shaun Deeney (shoulder) are also ruled out. Russell Anderson and James Bailey look set ot return to fitness for the Rams.
