Ahead of Wednesday’s Tottenham Hotspur vs AC Milan game in the Champions League, Gianfranco Zola has not only favoured the Rossoneri to win, but also given them some tips on how to defeat Spurs.
The UEFA Champions League debutants stunned AC Milan at the San Siro in the first leg of their tie. They are now on the brink of achieving something great by reaching the quarter-finals of the competition at the expense of 7-time winners Milan. However, Gianfranco Zola believes that the Italian giants will successfully overturn their defeat as he told La Gazzetta dello Sport:
“Milan have every chance of going through. Tottenham are a great team, but they are young and inexperienced.
“They will have to play openly, because they won’t stand off so the defence should concede something. Milan should be clever at profiting from it.
“Paradoxically, on a tactical level, I’d say that it will be simpler for Milan with respect to the first leg. They should focus on Pato. He could hurt the English with his speed.”
