Second placed Swansea City will continue their promotion challenge when they travel to face relegation strugglers Scunthorpe United.
League leaders Queens Park Rangers will host playoff chasing Leicester City, while third placed Cardiff City will play host to Ipswich Town.

Nottingham Forest and Norwich City are level three points behind second placed Swansea and will both be in action on Saturday. Forest will play in-form Hull City at the City Ground, while Norwich will play host to rock bottom Preston North End.

Sixth placed Leeds united will look to keep up the pressure on the teams above them with a win over Yorkshire rivals Doncaster Rovers.

Relegation threatened Sheffield United are six points adrift of safety, and will be desperate for points when they travel to face Portsmouth team who are looking for their sixth straight win.
 

League leading Queens Park Rangers will play host to playoff chasing Leicester City at Loftus Road on Saturday with both teams in good form. QPR hold a five point lead at the top of the Championship table after going unbeaten in their last 10 games, while Leicester are two points behind the playoff spots and have lost one of their last 10 Championship fixtures.





Adel Taarabt and Wayne Routledge are hoping to shake off an illness in time to play for QPR, while Tommy Smith will return from a hamstring injury.





Leicester striker Steve Howard is ruled out with an ankle injury, while Chelsea loanee Patrick van Aanholt will miss out with a torn thigh muscle.


Reading will continue their playoff chase when they host relegation strugglers Middlesbrough at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday. Reading are six points behind the playoff spots, while Middlesbrough are six points above the drop zone.





Both teams played in midweek and achieved positive results. Middlesbrough earned a point with a 1-1 draw against fourth placed Nottingham Forest, while Reading produced a shock FA Cup win at Premier League Everton and reached the quarter-finals.





Defender Andy Griffin is doubtful with an Achilles injury for Reading, while Mathieu Manset is set to return. Goalkeeper Adam Federici is ruled out with a knee problem for the Royals.





Middlesbrough midfielder Julio Arca is an injury doubt and will be assessed ahead of kickoff. Rhys Williams could return to fitness, while Matthew Bates, Stephen McManus and Kevin Thomson all feature on a lengthy injury list for Boro.


Relegation strugglers Scunthorpe United will play host to second placed Swansea City at Glanford Park on Saturday. Swansea are five points behind league leaders Queens Park Rangers and will be looking for their fifth consecutive league win. Scunthorpe currently occupy the relegation zone and are four points adrift of safety, the Iron will be looking to avoid their third straight defeat in this game.





Defenders Cliff Byrne and Paul Reid are sidelined with injury for Scunthorpe, while striker Chris Dagnall and goalkeeper Joe Murphy are also ruled out.





Captain Garry Monk and midfielder Andrea Orlandi are both ruled out with injury for the Swans.



Watford and Millwall will clash at Vicarage Road on Saturday with both teams looking for a win to help them climb back up towards the playoff race. Milwall are seven points behind the playoff spots and are winless in their last four matches, while Watford are one point further back after failing to win any of their last eight games.





Captain John Eustace is suspended for Watford, while Will Beckley is set to return. Lloyd Doyley, Danny Drinkwater and Stephen McGinn are all out injured for the Hornets.





Josh McQuoid will return for Millwall, while Jimmy Abdou is ruled out with a knee problem. Queens Park Rangers loanee Martin Rowlands could make his Watford debut in this game.


Portsmouth will be looking for their sixth straight win when they play host to relegation threatened Sheffield united on Saturday. Portsmouth have not conceded a goal while winning their last five game and have closed to within seven points of the playoff spots. United sit in the relegation zone after failing to win any of their last 13 games, and are six points adrift of safety.





Liam Lawrence is ruled out with injury for Portsmouth, while Hayden Mullins and Joel Ward are doubtful and will be assessed ahead of kickoff.





Blades captain Chris Morgan is out with injury along with Richard Wright, Andy Taylor and Ryan France. Shane Lowry will miss this game due to suspension for United.


Promotion hopefuls Nottingham Forest will play host to in-form Hull City at the City Ground on Saturday. Forest are three points behind second placed Swansea City and have not lost a regular season home game since September 2009. Hull are five points behind the playoff spots and unbeaten in their last 12 Championship away games.





Liverpool loanee Paul Konchesky could return from injury for Forest, while defender Joel Lynch is ruled out with an ankle injury suffered during the midweek draw at Middlesbrough.





Defender Anthomy Gerrard will miss out for Hull due to a twisted ankle. Richard Garcia looks set to return from a knee problem, while Liverpool loanee David Amoo could make his Tigers debut.


Bristol City will be looking for their third straight win when they travel to face Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena. Bristol are 10 points above the relegation zone, while Coventry are one point further back after winning only one of their last 13 games.





Martin Cranie is suspended for Coventry, while Sammy Clingan, Clive Platt and Jordan Clarke are all set to return for the Sky Blues.





Bristol captain Louis Carey is out with a fractured skull, and Jamie McAllister is also ruled out with injury. Steven Caulker looks likely to return for the Robins due to a hip injury.


Derby County and Barnsley will clash at Pride Park on Saturday with both teams looking to end a run of poor form. Derby are eight points above the drop zone after winning only one of their last 11 games, while Barnsley are three points further ahead and have won one of their last seven fixtures.





Gareth Roberts and Jake Buxton look likely to return for Derby, while goalkeeper Saul Deeney remains sidelined with injury.





Barnsley defender Jason Shackell will miss this game after losing two teeth in a collision during last weekend’s defeat against Norwich City. Nathan Doyle, Jacob Mellis and Bobby Hassell are also ruled out with injury for the Tyke’s.


Promotion chasing Leeds United will be looking end a three game winless streak when they face mid-table Doncaster Rovers at Elland Road. Sixth place Leeds have conceded eight goals in their previous three games, but will be looking to return to winning ways against a Doncaster team that has won one of their last seven games.





Leeds midfielder Bradley Johnson will return from suspension, while Paul Connolly is ruled out with a hamstring injury. Lloyd Sam is struggling with a virus and will be assessed ahead of kickoff.





Striker Billy Sharp is an injury doubt for Doncaster while Jason Euell is sidelined with a knee problem. James Hayter, James Coppinger and Ryan Mason are all hoping to return to fitness for Doncaster.


Crystal Palace will be looking for points to boost their relegation fight when they travel to face playoff chasing Burnley. Palace are currently four points above the relegation zone, while Burnley are looking for points to close the four point gap between themselves and the playoff spots.





Strikers Steven Thompson and Martin Paterson are both sidelined with injury for Burnley.





Goalkeeper Julian Speroni looks likely to return for Palace, while Alex Marrow is an injury doubt and will be assessed ahead of kickoff.
