Bayen Munich playmaker Bastian Schweinsteiger revealed that the German champions will be itching to avenge for their Champions League final loss last season when they take on Champions League holders Inter Milan tonight
Inter Milan will host Bayern Munich in a repeat of last season's Champions League in which the Italian side triumphed 2-0 under the guidance of Jose Mourinho. Nonetheless, it was a good season for both clubs who won their domestic leagues respectively.

However, this season has been a completely different one as both teams have struggled to make any major impacts in their domestic league title bids. However, this tie offers them a chance to boost their chances of winning a silverware and Bayern midfielder Schweinsteiger believes that they can knock the Italian side out of the competition.

He said: "The two games coming up against Inter will be a very challenging mission and we are thrilled about it. I'm looking forward to seeing my friend Lucio again.

"In theory, the chance that we will make it into the quarter-finals are 50-50. However, we will have to work extremely hard if we are to be successful.

"I'm confident that we have what it takes to progress to the next round though. We are all itching to set the record straight against Inter.

"We've been thinking about last year's lost final long and hard. It really hurt that we lost that game. This is the perfect opportunity for us to make up for last year's defeat."
