Marco Materazzi believes that Juventus should hand over the 2002 title to Inter in addition to the titles they were already stripped off due to some controvesy.
Juventus were stripped of the Scudetto they won during the 2004-2005 season and the 2005-2006 season after some match-fixing allegations. In addition to that, Juventus were also demoted to the Serie B.

According to reports, Juventus are now preparing to take legal action so that their titles can be restored to them. But Inter defender Materazzi feels otherwise.

"Juve want their Scudetti back? Well they shouldn’t ask us, as I would take back the one we lost on May 5 2002," Materazzi told the television show Chiambretti Night.

"In the four or five games before the final one with Lazio, there were some pretty shady goings on."

Marco Materazzi was being interviewed ahead of Inter Milan's clash with AS Roma. He admits that Inter really need to buck up and catch up with the leaders if they want to retain the Scudetto.

"We know that the top teams are pushing hard, but we are strong and have lost time in the past. Now it’s up to us to make up that gap as quickly as possible.

"Roma are a truly great squad. In recent years we faced them many times, winning some and losing some, so we know they are to be approached very carefully."
