The Blaugrana is readying another bid to test the resolve of the Blues for Willian.

Despite boasting a considerable number of stars in their ranks, Barcelona is looking to bolster its squad even more. The Catalans, as a result, have identified Chelsea winger Willian as one of the players who fit the profile to compete in the side.

Since expressing interesting in securing the service of the Brazilian although competition from Manchester United pressumably exists, Ernesto Valverde's side has gone in full attacking mode to secure the signature of the winger. According to Sky Sports, Barcelona submited a third and final bid in the region of £55 million to try and price Willian away from Chelsea.

The 28-year-old consistently impressed for Brazil at Russia 2018 before their elimination by Belgium at the quarter-final stage. This as a result justifies why the Spanish club is refusing to back down in their pursuit.

Nevertheless, with Eden Hazard reportedly in talks to join Real Madrid, it remains unclear whether Chelsea will be willing to let another one of its key players to move away. Barcelona first offered a fee in the region of £50 million but was rejected by the Blues.

The Catalans are however hopeful that the new bid will be considered having seen their second bid close to £53 million thrown out of the window. Willian is currently in Brazil on holiday although he is expected to link-up with his teammates soon and discuss his future with new manager Maurizio Sarri.
