Owen Coyle heaped the praise on his latest signing after seeing Daniel Sturridge score the winner on his debut for Bolton Wanderers.
Daniel Sturridge joined the Trotters on deadline day after completing a loan deal for the rest of the season. He was handed an immediate opportunity in the Premier League encounter with Wolves and Sturridge turned out to be the deciding factor of the game for Bolton.

After a game full of chances and drama, Sturridge wrote his name among the Bolton faithfuls with a well taken goal in the last gasp to give Bolton an immense three points. This victory pushed them back into 8th spot in the league standings.

Owen Coyle is convinced that he made the right decision with Daniel Sturridge. Coyle also feels that the explosive striker still has a lot to offer over the course of the next few months.

"I am so delighted. It is always nice when you get a player you believe will score goals and he pops up to score on his debut.

"Daniel was lively, composed when scoring and it augurs well for the impact he'll make this season. He looks to have a good future.

“Mick McCarthy will be disappointed as there was an error but you cannot teach the awareness that Daniel showed. He's a naturally-gifted player.

"It was welcome to get the three points and would've been a travesty had we not won.

"We had a little dip in January and started to become nervous and anxious. We also felt that in the stadium, so it was good to win."

The performance of Daniel Sturridge looks set to have a major impact on Bolton’s European hopes this season.
