Preview

Juventus saw their winning streak snapped last round as the Bianconeri were held to a surprise scoreless draw with relegation candidates SPAL. Nonetheless, they're still two points clear of Napoli, albeit with the Partenopei taking on struggling outfit Sassuolo earlier in the day, they could find themselves sitting in second spot by the time this fixture kicks off.

It's set to be a very busy couple of weeks for the Bianconeri, who will have to take on none other than Real Madrid in the quarter-finals starting next week. Massimiliano Allegri's side were notably thrashed 4-1 by the Spanish powerhouse in last season's final, and now will have to find a way past them in order to make it to the next stage and beyond. With that in mind, Allegri will have to decide how to balance his squad, especially with key defender Giorgio Chiellini dealing with an injury (but reports apparently have him set to start nonetheless). Other absentees for the hosts include Juan Cuadrado and Federico Bernadeschi, leaving him shorter with options up front.

As for AC Milan, they were dumped out of the Europa League by Arsenal, and so now have turned their attention to trying to close the gap between themselves and the top four. The Rossoneri, despite their disappointment in Europe, have been quite excellent in Serie A, with five straight wins in the league and are unbeaten in their last ten Serie A fixtures.

In addition, they have managed to keep a clean sheet in their last three road fixtures, but will be facing a side who have kept clean sheets in their last ten. Moreover, Milan, who will be missing both Ignazio Abate and Andrea Conti for this contest, have a frustrating record against Juventus in Turin, where they have not won since 2011. The goalscorer on that day? None other than current Diavolo boss Gennaro Gattuso.
