Antonio Conte’s men will prepare for their mid-week UCL game after comfortably cruising past Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Willian continued in his fine run of form to get on the scoresheet for the Blues once again before a Martin Kelly own-goal ensured that there was no way back for the Eagles despite van Aanholt getting a consolation. The victory certainly came as a huge boost for the Stamford Bridge outfit who sought to keep their top four hopes alive.

Nevertheless, a tough challenge awaits the EPL’s defending champions at Camp Nou in the UEFA Champions League in mid-week. Speaking in his post-match presser, Antonio Conte commended his boys for their class performance and highlighted the need to carry the momentum into Wednesday’s clash with Barcelona.

"We tried to finish the game, but I think that their goalkeeper made good saves and we hit the post.

“For sure when you have so many chances it is important to be clinical, but we must be pleased with the performance of the team and prepare for Barcelona.

”We have to prepare for that game in the right ways, they are a strong team, the game will be totally different compared to today but we have three days to decide with the players the right plan,” Conte declared.

Chelsea drew 1:1 with Barcelona in the first leg of the Round of 16 tie and will be hoping to get a favorable result to aid their progression when they visit Spain.
