The Argentine ace and the former English footballer have shared time together thanks to a mutual sponsor.

Lionel Messi and David Beckham may not have shared locker rooms, but they surely have a great relationship, as their recent messages on social media show.

The Argentine ace sent "Becks" his best wishes in his new role as owner of the MLS franchise set to play in Miami. In a quick clip, Messi praised Beckham's efforts to get football to the city of Miami, and hinted that he might be "available" to join the team in the future.

Here's the video with the proper translation below it.

"Hey, David , I just wanted to say congratulations and wish you the best of luck in this new project, and who knows! Maybe in a few years you should give me a call. Big hug!"

The new MLS franchise will begin playing in the 2020 season, and Messi's contract with Barcelona ends in 2021. We know that Messi's chances of ending his career in the MLS are slim, but it wouldn't hurt Beckham's project to give him a call!
