Isco's substitute role in El Clásico surprised everyone, especially because the Spanish footballer had been used regularly as a starter this season. Added to that, Zidane's decision to keep him on the bench for the entire game prompted some controversial comments, and the player himself had to clarify them.
Spain's Diario As posted a tweet judging Isco for his supposed decision to not keep warming up, according to a supposed tip by Cadena Ser.
"Isco refuses to continue with his warmup exercises after Nacho came into the pitch"

But once the game concluded, the player used his Twitter feed to aim a dig at their irresponsible comment. "Please stop writing this sh*t. My two other team-mates were about to enter the game. I didn't know four sub players could come into the game."
Dejar de meter mierda que ya iban a salir mis otros dos compañeros... no sabía yo que sé podían hacer 4 cambios https://t.co/CFnYgNZcbM
