The Portuguese has experienced a dip in form this season, scoring only one goal for Los Blancos in the domestic competition.

Cristiano Ronaldo's sloppy start of the season in La Liga might end up being more expensive than Real Madrid fans -or himself- expected...

According to reports by Spanish sources, the Portuguese ace made a bet with two of Los Blancos' captains about becoming La Liga's top scorer this season. Unfortunately for him, he seems to be on his way to lose that wager, as he's only been able to score once in eleven La Liga games so far.

To make matters worse, Lionel Messi's top form has given him an 11-goal advantage over CR7. "La Pulga" has scored 12 goals so far, three more than Simone Zaza, the runner up for the Pichichi award at the moment.

Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema are the team's designated captains for the 2017-18 season. Considering the friendship between Marcelo, Ramos and CR7, it wouldn't be a surprise if the Brazilian and the Spaniard defenders were the ones getting close to snatch Cristiano's money from his hands.
