Team news
Besiktas and Monaco are enjoying two opposite Champions League seasons. The Turkish giants, with three wins out of three, are on the brink of qualifying for the round of 16 for the first time.
Leonardo Jardim’s crew, on the other hand, are staring at a group stage exit after drawing once and losing twice in their first three games. With only one point under their belt, the Ligue 1 giants know a defeat could mean the end of the road for them.
To make matters worse, the French giants will be without lethal forward Radamel Falcao. The Colombian missed out on their recent 1-0 win over Bordeaux due to a thigh issue, failing to recover in time for Wednesday’s crucial away tie.
Stevan Jovetic returned to the bench recently and should be available for selection in Istanbul. Furthermore, Guido Carrillo and Rachid Ghezzal have also been included in the squad for the Besiktas clash.
Whilst the hosts have no worries, the visitors will also be without Djibril Sidibe (pelvis), Terence Kongolo (knee) and Soualiho Meite (hamstring).
