When this quartet was announced, many had expected Leonardo Jardim's men to be the ones topping Group G. Unfortunately, things have not turned out as Les Rouges-et-Blancs have planned. Although Monaco were unbeaten in their last seven European home games, with six wins and a draw, they have lost their last two. The most recent of these was a shocking 3-0 defeat to Portuguese outfit Porto on matchday two of this season's tournament.
Despite this, Monaco still have a pretty strong home record, with just three losses in their last 15 at the Stade Louis II. That being said, they come into this game having lost their most recent game, a five-goal thriller with Lyon this past Friday that sees them lose further ground in the Ligue 1 title race with PSG.
Meanwhile, although Beşiktaş have picked up just one point from their last three league fixtures, losing their last two away games 2-1, they have done quite well in their Champions League campaign. Unlike Monaco, they've already beaten Porto (3-1) and dispatched debutants RB Leipzig 2-0 to earn six points to top their quartet.
However, the Turkish side have a poor record in France, with losses in their last four trips. Both teams will be hoping to get back on track here after some difficulties, albeit it goes without saying that Monaco will be the side who are in the more desperate need of points.
