The city of Paris is reportedly living Neymar-mania, as more than 5,000 jerseys with his name have already been sold.

Neymar Jr is set to become PSG's brightest star, but before he storms the pitch, he needed to clarify a few talking points regarding his former team-mates.

First of all, he spoke about Pique's controversial tweet "revealing" he would stay with Los Blaugranas. "Ney" admitted he felt a bit upset after the center back posted that on social media.

"We were having dinner, and we were having a good time. I asked him not to upload that tweet, because I hadn't made up my mind yet.  But he felt it would be a good prank and went on with it. He's still a good friend of mine," Neymar stated.

Then, the Brazilian player shared his thoughts on Lionel Messi, and slammed rumors about a complicated relationship between them that forced him out of Barcelona.

"If I left Barcelona, it wasn't because of Lionel Messi. I wanted to play with him by my side because I looked up to him. I appreciate everything he taught me in the past four years," the Brazilian ace added.

Before the press conference concluded, Neymar revealed the real reason why he joined PSG.

"I'm ambitious, and PSG's ambitions are pretty much the same as mine. I've always wanted bigger challenges and my heart went in that direction. I'm really happy and I want to help this team reach higher ground," the player concluded.

Neymar could make his debut with the team this Saturday, as PSG hosts Amiens in the beginning of the French top flight tournament.
