Cristiano Ronaldo's tax investigation in Spain may have some of his fans worried, but the player seemed to be cool as ice when reporters asked him about the matter.
As he arrived to Russia with the Portuguese National Team, CR7 was intercepted by a Spanish reporter, who immediately asked him to reveal his thoughts on the tax evasion charges.
The player's smile and stance never changed as he claimed to be "innocent".
Reporter: "Cristiano, have you seen press reports today?"
CR7: "Clear conscience, my brother!"
Reporter: "Relaxed, then? You're innocent?
CR7: "Always, my man!"

Spanish tax authorities claim Cristiano Ronaldo failed to pay €14M in taxes from his image rights between 2011 and 2014. The Spanish IRS accused Lionel Messi of a similar fraud, which ended with the Argentine ace appealing a 22-month sentence and a fine to be paid. It is highly likely that Cristiano Ronaldo's case will end up with a similar verdict.
