The Brazilian full-back could add a 34th club title when the Bianconeri take on Los Blancos on Saturday.

Dani Alves is regarded as one of the best full-backs in the modern game. Although he might not be to everyone’s taste, the Brazilian track record of success speaks for itself.

He’s only 34, but the Juventus ace boasts nearly as many trophies as the years he has spent on this earth. Alves has gotten his hands on an astonishing 33 major titles in his glorious career.

That tally is more than former legendary team-mates Lionel Messi (29) or Andres Iniesta (30). Only two players have won more club titles than the Selecao international – Ryan Giggs (35) and Maxwell (36).

Alves’ first taste of silverware came in 2001, winning Campeonato Baiano during his days with Bahia, followed by back-to-back Campeonato do Nordeste wins. Then came his move to Sevilla, which saw him win the Copa del Re, the Spanish Super Cup, two UEFA Cups, and the UEFA Super Cup.

The full-back had to wait until his emotional departure from Sevilla to Barca to win La Liga, winning the treble in his debut season at the club. It was at Camp Nou where he enjoyed most of his success, winning 23 titles – including six league crowns.

Adding two more trophies in his debut season with the Bianconeri, a win on Saturday would take his tally to 34 major titles – not including three cups he won with the national side.

Champions League success would give him a shot at the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup, on top of the Supercoppa Italiana. This means by December, Dani Alves could be the most decorated football player in history.
