The Uruguayan forward is suspended for Saturday's clash with Deportivo Alaves at the Vicente Calderon.

Barcelona’s last shot at silverware is here, as the Blaugrana gear up to take on Deportivo Alaves in the Copa del Rey final. This will also be Luis Enrique’s last game in charge, having announced earlier this year that this will be his final season at Camp Nou.

Winning the cup in his final game would be an excellent farewell, but those odds have been hurt by the absence of Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan striker will not feature in the final due to suspension and must watch the game from the stands.

The former Liverpool star got a red card in the semi-final encounter with Atletico Madrid. Barcelona fought hard to appeal his second booking, but lost their case.

Messi and Co. do not need to worry, however. Stats show that despite his importance to the squad, the Catalan giants fare well in his absence.

So far this season, the 30-year-old has missed seven games. The Blaugrana are yet to lose when without the South American forward, winning five and drawing two.

Messi and Neymar will be without the third member of their MSN trio, but the numbers back them to do well.
