The final Champions League berth is at stake as City take on Crystal Palace

Manchester City

Despite drawing their last two games, Pep Guardiola's side still sit in fourth place. With Manchester United, who are in fifth, taking on sixth-placed Arsenal, one of these two sides is bound to drop points. And that's something the Sky Blues can take advantage of as they welcome a Crystal Palace side who have shipped 16 goals in their last five trips to the Etihad.

However, City will have to make do without a host of key players. The latest injury casualty is top scorer Sergio Aguero, who now joins Claudio Bravo, David Silva, and John Stones on the treatment table. Silva, however, may be able to feature if he can pass a very late fitness test prior to this match. Reports are rife that Aguero unfortunately could miss the rest of the season due to a groin injury, but young striker Gabriel Jesus is expected to come into the starting XI as his replacement.

Crystal Palace

As for the Eagles, they have quite a few players out due to injuries, including Connor Wickham, Scott Dann, James Tomkins, and most significant, Mamadou Sakho. The ex-Liverpool man's absence in the center of defense will be a major source of concern for Sam Allardyce. Meanwhile, the experienced tactician will likely welcome back Yohan Cabaye after the Frenchman did not feature during Crystal Palace's shock defeat to Burnley.

Crystal Palace have lost two on the trot, and all signs indicate that they unfortunately are set to make it three defeats in a row. They have won just one out of their last nine Premier League ties against Manchester City and have not beaten the Sky Blues at  the Eithad since 1991.
