LA Galaxy midfielder has undergone a successful surgery as his club prepares to take on Montreal Impact on April 7. The fan-favorite player scored the opener for USMNT vs Honduras over the international break in their WC qualifier but was substituted late into the second-half after picking up an injury.
Medical scans revealed that he needed Lisfranc surgery after it was discovered that the injury was more serious than what the medics thought. Initially, it was believed to be a mere foot sprain but turned out to be a Linfrasc problem. He could be out of action for four to six months. After the surgery, he posted the following message on Instagram.
Surgery was a success! The healing process begins. I don't know how to even begin to describe the gratitude I have towards this angel right here. Going to be a long journey, but having you next to me has made it so much easier
