Karim Benzema's goal for Real Madrid against Deportivo Alaves appeared to be offside, according to the football world on social media. Several replays seemed to confirm the allegations as the French striker appeared to be just inches into the red line.
But the goal was awarded anyway, as Isco and Nacho added the second and third consecutively for Los Blancos in the second-half. And as Real Madrid prepare to face rivals Barcelona in El Clasico in April 23, in what could become the ultimate title-decider, a section of fans are already accusing the capital city club of being favoured by match officials.
