With Roma winning their game on Saturday, Napoli are now five points behind the Giallorossi, and it goes without saying that they will want to reduce that gap back to two as they prepare to take on the league leaders this evening. Maurizio Sarri's side will next face Juventus again in the Coppa Italia in three days' time, and this will mark the first time the Partenopei will face Gonzalo Higuain in Naples after his record-setting move to Juventus this past summer.
Napoli are also facing a 3-1 deficit in the Coppa Italia after losing the first semi-finals leg in Turin. It will be very interesting, then, to see how Sarri manages his squad for this game. After all, it's highly unlikely that anyone will be able to catch Juventus in the race for the Scudetto, but the Partenopei still do have a chance at knocking them out of the Coppa Italia by winning the second leg at home. Of course, they can set the stage for a highly successful week by defeating La Vecchia Signora in Naples this evening.

Indeed, it's set to be a very tough month for Juve, who after this game take on Napoli again in the Coppa Italia. Although the Bianconeri have dominated this fixture, that same level of dominance does not apply to playing at the Stadio San Paolo, where they have won just one out of their last nine fixtures. Massimiliano Allegri also has some concerns about several key players ahead of this game, with both Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic struggling with injuries. With young Croatian striker Marko Pjaca ruled out due to an ACL injury, Allegri has lost another option in attack, and it remains to be seen if both Mandzukic and Dybala will be risked for this crunch clash.
