Here's why April is the do-or-die month for Real Madrid and their fans all over the world.

The month of April is the month that will determine Real Madrid's direction as far as the title chase is concerned. Los Blancos are currently in contention for the league title and the Champions League.

If Zidane's men make it through April unscathed, then it would be safe to say that they could as well go all the way to lift the league and Champions League. The Madrid-based club will play nine games in a span of 28 days, including the much-anticipated El Clasico.

On April 2, they will start the journey through a difficult month by hosting Deportivo Alaves at the Bernabeu in La Liga. They will then play Leganes away from home in La Liga three days later.

Three days later, on April 8th, they will welcome city rivals Atletico at the Bernabeu in La Liga, before travelling to Gijon to face Sporting on April 16. And on April 23, the Bernabeu will host the fiercest rivalries in the history of club football - Real Madrid vs Barcelona - better known as El Clasico.

CR7 celebrates scoring a hat-trick against Atletico earlier this season. Will he have the energy to face Simeone's men again in the congested month of April?

Three days later, Zizou's men will travel to Coruna to face Deportivo La Coruna in La Liga. The final match of Madrid's busy April schedule will be played on 30th, and it will be a home clash against rivals Valencia.

Real Madrid will also play in the Champions League between April 11/12 and April 18/19 now that they have qualified for the quarter-finals. The exact dates will be confirmed after the UCL quarter-final draw on Friday.

Madridistas now need to keep their fingers crossed, hoping that their beloved club will make it through this difficult month without a dent. They cannot ignore the threat of injuries and fatigue especially now that Zidane needs to keep selecting his strongest XI to fight for both titles. And with rivals Barcelona hot on their heels in both competitions (La Liga and UCL), Madridistas have a lot of praying and fasting to do.
