Major League Soccer side Toronto FC have signed former Barcelona man Victor Vazquez. Prior to joining the Canadian club, the Spanish attacking midfielder was playing for Mexican outfit Cruz Azul. He also spent four seasons with Belgian giants Club Brugge between 2011 and 2015, where he scored 24 goals in 107 appearances.
But the 30 year old was not so lucky at Barcelona - he only made two appearances for the senior team - both in the Champions League. But at least he won the league, Copa del Rey, and the Champions League (twice) with the Catalan giants. Confirming the deal, TFC general manager Tim Bezbatchenko said:
“We are excited to bring Victor Vazquez to Toronto FC and provide our team with another experienced midfielder.''
The reds also confirmed the signing on their official Twitter account
“I want to give everything for the team, for the club, for the fans."
