The Italian tactician has been linked with the Gunners hot seat, as fans continue to ask for Wenger's resignation.

With Arsene Wenger undergoing is annual mid-season scrutiny due to a string of poor results, speculation as to whether this might be his final year has arisen. This has in effect ushered in a list of candidates that could replace the Frenchman.

Massimiliano Allegri is believed to be high up that list, having enjoyed success with AC Milan in the past, and now with Juventus. However, many wonder whether the Italian would quit the Serie A giants for the north London outfit should Le Prof decide to call it quits.

Allegri has now spoken out about the Arsenal rumors. Unfortunately for Gooners keen on getting the Juventus boss, it is bad news. According to the 49-year-old, he intends to remain with the Serie A champions for the foreseeable future.

“Italian football remains one of the best in the world and recently many young talents have emerged too,” said the manager in a pre-match press conference (as per Football Italia).

“As for my future, how can I confirm something that doesn’t exist or deny something I never said? I have a contract with Juventus, I am happy, as I’ve always said we have a season to complete and at the right time we’ll sit down with the club to discuss our plans.”

The Old Lady will take on Cagliari on Sunday. The tie will be Allegri’s 100th game with the Bianconeri. Ahead of the game, Max insisted that he is keen on managing the club for another 300 games.

“I hope there are another 300 or 400 games, as I am happy at Juventus. I always said that if I were to leave, Juve would be the first to know.”
