New York City fans are already excited about the 2017 season if the club's display vs Emelec was anything to go by.

New York City FC's new signing Sean Okoli showed hisnew employers a glimpse of what he has to offer in the new season in an international friendly against Emelec in Ecuador. The American forward scored a brilliant goal to give the The Blues a glimmer of hope over the Ecuadorian outfit, who were leading by two goals late into the second half. The game ended in a 2-2 draw following a late equalizer from John Stertzer.

Okolo just turned 24 on a week ago and his goal could be an early indication of what to expect from the ex-Cincinnati star. At the USL club, he made 29 appearances in 2016 and scored 16 goals.
